Scott Bridge Company, Inc. of Opelika, Alabama was just rewarded a $27 million contract to replace Gainesville’s iconic Browns Bridge on State Route 369. Construction completion date scheduled for Spring 2020.
Hall and Habersham counties also have eight bridges that will be rehabilitated through various projects. Residents and visitors in these areas will be feel safer knowing that the expansion joints and road surfaces will be updated and better quality. Louis-Company, LLC of Lees Summit, Missouri will complete this work by October 2018, for the contract amount of $485,985.50. Pittman Construction Company of Conyers, Georgia was awarded $4,633,940.95 to complete the resurfacing and shoulder rehabilitation of a 6 mile project in Jackson County that covers State Route 11 south of State Route 11 Business extending north of State Route 332. This work is slated to be completed by September 2018. Roadsafe Traffic Systems, Inc. of St. Louis, Missouri was awarded $936,445.20 to resurface a total of 10.4 miles on Interstate 85 (north of Jimmy Carter Boulevard to north of Old Peachtree Road) in Gwinnett.
